When Plans Feel Overwhelming, Trust the One Who Called You

Some days, the to-do list feels impossible. The needs are endless, time is short, and the weight of responsibility presses down like a heavy backpack. We’ve all been there—trying to hold everything together while feeling like we’re coming apart. In the rush of serving, leading, parenting, or building something meaningful, it’s easy to forget that our first calling is not to performance, but to presence—to simply be with Jesus
Here’s the truth I keep coming back to: God never calls us to something without also providing the strength, wisdom, and grace to carry it out. When we feel overwhelmed, it’s not a cue to push harder—it’s an invitation to slow down, to draw close, to let go. He’s not asking us to carry the mission alone—He’s asking us to follow Him in it.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28
What if today, instead of trying to control every detail, we simply trusted the One who already sees the full picture? What if rest isn’t weakness—but worship?Today, let’s hand Him our stress, surrender our plans, and release our fears. Let’s walk forward not in striving, but in faith.
Reflection: What burden are you carrying that you need to release to God today?
